2024 HIGH SCHOOL HONOR BAND & ORCHESTRA OF NEVADA AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:

Etudes for High School BAND will come from the NMEA All-State Requirements. Excerpts can be found here: BAND AUDITION EXCERPTS.

High School Band Required Scales:

- Concert Eb Major
- Concert A Major
- Chormatic Scale Tongued Up, Slurred Down (demonstrating players range on the

instrument as best as possible

HONOR ORCHESTRA OF NEVADA AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:
Excerpts for Middle School will come from the NMEA All-State Requirements. Scale Requirements located on excerpt sheets located here: ORCHESTRA AUDITION EXCERPTS.

HIGH SCHOOL Band and Orchestra auditions must be submitted to the GOOGLE FOLDER WE PROVIDE by 11:00 p.m. on Friday, March 8th. Results will be released after all entries are adjudicated, week of March 18th. Music will be sent out electronically the week before the scheduled rehearsals. A $15/student audition fee will be due by March 4th. There will be no additional fee if students are selected. After registration and payment are received for a student(s), a digital submission link will be provided via email for video auditions.

Two videos will be submitted by each applicant. VIDEO 1 - ALL SCALES, VIDEO 2- BOTH ETUDES. The student and their instrument must be visible in the video.NO METRONOMES OR OTHER DEVICES MAY BE USED TO ASSIST IN THE VIDEO AUDITION.
